Leptomeningeal carcinoma

My 78 yr old father has stage IV SMCLC with mets to spleen, liver and brain. They suspect he has Leptomeningeal carcinoma. They are not going to treat him for it as he is really bot doing so well. ECOG is a 3. Does anyone have any information regarding prognosis? I read that 4-6 weeks is the norm. Can anyone confirm or give me some more information? Any suggestions on good articles/web sites would be appreciated.

RE: Leptomeningeal carcinoma

Amanda, I'm so sorry to hear about your father. Leptomeningeal mets are a scary diagnosis. I'm more than happy to talk with if you'd like. Thinking of you, Suzanne
