Recently diagnosed with severely atypical intraductal hyperplasia suspicious for DCIS on core needle biopsy. Excision biopsy then showed mild atypical intraductal hyperplasia with clear margins. Oncologist recommended Tamoxifen daily x 5 years for prophylaxis and mammogram every 6 months. I'm 51 y.o and otherwise very healthy/active. I'm concerned of Tamoxifen risks vs benefits. Can't find any recent info/studies on this. Does anyone have any info?
