I was diagnosed with colon rectal cancer in 1997. I went through surgery and radiation. I was burned real bad and had to have several more surgeries to try and correct the effects. Lots of pain. I was negative for 6 years and thought I was doing alright. Mammogram showed lump in right breast. Had lumpectomy. I went another 5 years and now am being treated for the breast cancer in my bones. I take Arimidex every day and a pint of Zometa once a month. This has been working to hold everything at bay for the last 4 years. When I was laid up the first time a friend of mine came to see me. She walked in the door and started throwing Yarn at me. Get your crochet needles out and go to work, Their are kids in hospitals with cancer make them some security blankets. Project Linus.org free patterns. So far I have made over 100 blankets. It has helped me so much to not think of myself. I can always curl up on the couch and crochet when things get bad.
