When I first met Stacey Downs, I was very impressed by her determination to be on a Winning Team that would “Knock That Cancer Elephant off of my Shoulder”. This extremely competent Oncology Nurse gave me care beyond anything I had expected.
This was evidenced by:
1. Her attention to detail for the safety administering the drugs for her patients.
2. Her ability to say the right things (accurate yet encouraging)
3. The way she touched each person with the very thing they need in their cycle of chemo.
4. Her gentle hands that minimized the pain yet provided the right and necessary chemo.
5. Her constant upbeat attitude, her sense of humor, and her total professionalism.
Her name is Stacy, but she is “Amazing Grace” to me.
