Before posting to the message board, it may be helpful to read our frequently asked questions and policies regarding the CURE Message Board.
How do I login?
You must first register with your e-mail address and provide a unique username and a password in order to log in. If you have already registered and are having trouble logging in, confirm that your e-mail address and password are correct at http://www.curetoday.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/main.forgotPasswordAsk/id/7. If you are still having trouble logging in, e-mail info@cancerlearning.com and include that you are a member of the CURE Message Board.
Why do I need to register?
To participate in the CURE Message Board, registration is required. This helps us to control spam and other unwanted material and makes the message board more of a true community.
What do I do if I’ve forgotten my password?
Go to http://www.curetoday.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/main.forgotPasswordAsk/id/7 if you have forgotten your password. You will need the e-mail address with which you first registered your account.
How do I post a thread?
First, make sure the thread (also called a topic) has not already been created in one of the forums. If not, choose a particular forum for your topic discussion or question and click the “Post Topic” button. You will need to be logged in before you can create a thread or post a reply.
Include a title that will let other users know what your post is about and will interest them into joining the discussion. Try to be as clear and specific as possible. In the body, write your post. You are allowed to format your text (bold, italicize, and underline), and add links and photos; but please be aware that too much formatting, overly large or multiple photos, etc. can dissuade users from reading your post and, in extreme cases, may be deleted by a moderator. When you do add formatting, you’ll notice that it includes HTML code. You will have the option to preview your post before publishing.
If you want e-mail updates on replies to your thread, check the “Subscribe” box below the body text box. When you are ready, click “Submit” to post your thread.
How do I post a response in a thread?
Click the “Post a Reply” button above the thread to post. It’s usually customary to leave the title the same to help other users know you’re staying on topic.
You have the option of subscribing to e-mails that will notify you if another user responds after you.
How do I post a Forum topic?
Only moderators are allowed to create new forums; however, if you have a suggestion on a new topic that does not fit in an existing forum, please e-mail editor@curetoday.com and we will try to include it.
What are E-mail Updates on the Message Board?
You can choose to receive e-mails whenever a new thread or reply is posted in a specific forum. You can opt out of any e-mail updates by returning to the site, logging in, and clicking the “Email me updates” button in a specific forum. It shows you what updates you’re currently receiving and gives you an option of unsubscribing from any updates.
What personal information can I include in my signature?
You can include any appropriate information you would like. Some people like to include their location, cancer history, age, website, or blog. However, inappropriate information, links, and images will not be tolerated and your post may be deleted.
Why is my post not showing up?
Your post should be published on the message board immediately after submitting it. If it is not showing up, try refreshing the page. If it is still not publishing or you are having trouble posting, e-mail editor@curetoday.com with details of the issue. If you post is published, but then removed, it may have been deleted by a moderator for linking to inappropriate material, an advertisement or self-promotion, profanity, inappropriate language, or if the post is not relevant to the discussion. If you feel your post was deleted unnecessarily, you can e-mail editor@curetoday.com.
Can I post images?
You can post an image by clicking on the image button in the text box, but remember to be considerate of others. If your post includes large images, multiple images in one post, or inappropriate images, the moderator may delete your post.

Can I add an attachment?
No, we do not allow attachments.
Why can’t I post in some topics?
Some topics are locked, which means users cannot post to these individual topics. An administrator may choose to lock a topic for various reasons, such as it may be an announcement from CURE and does not need replies or the topic has become outdated, although this rarely occurs. If a topic is locked, the administrator will inform users when and why the topic is locked.
Who are the moderators and what do they do?
Moderators are CURE staffers assigned to moderate the message board, including deleting inappropriate posts, banning members who continuously post inappropriate material, moving or locking threads, and leading discussions.
What is a permalink?
A permalink, or permanent link, is a URL that points to a specific forum entry after it has passed from the front page to the archives. If you want to e-mail or save the link to a specific discussion, click “permalink” at the bottom of the entry and then copy the URL found in your web browser.
