Should prophylactic oophorectomy be considered “mandatory” for BRCA carriers?

At one of the education sessions at SABCS, one speaker said that to prevent ovarian cancer in BRCA mutation carriers, prophylactic surgery should be considered “mandatory." And to prevent breast cancer, prophylactic mastectomy was strongly recommended. What do you think? What's been your experience?
