The Cancer Continuum

Cancer is a journey that begins with the words, "it's malignant." The need for information follows the patient throughout the experience, from the day of diagnosis, through treatment and on to recovery. CURE Media Group covers the entire cancer continuum, from diagnosis and through recovery.

Below are our products that span the cancer continuum.

CURE magazine is a free quarterly publication that combines science with humanity to empower cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers with latest information on every aspect of cancer-from the technical and scientific to the social and emotional. Within each issue readers find updates on the latest treatment advances, insight on practical issues, and stories from those who have been there.

In addition to the magazine, every new subscriber receives CURE's annual Cancer Resource Guide, published in association with the American Cancer Society. The guide offers the most crucial cancer information that will guide readers through each step of the journey, from diagnosis to survivorship.

For those who want to talk to other patients, survivors, and caregivers, and ask questions of the experts, the CURE Patient & Survivor Forum offers an opportunity for people around the country to gather in a major city to hear from leaders on the latest developments in cancer treatment. In addition, attendees meet in small groups to discuss important psychosocial issues and have opportunities to network with others during the two-day event.

Breast cancer survivors have their own forum each May when the CURE Day of Caring Breast Cancer Forum in Denver, Colorado, brings together hundreds of breast cancer survivors for a two-day event that includes a fashion show by local survivors and small-group sessions on topics of specific importance to breast cancer survivors and their caregivers.

The Survivorship Resource Guide, which will premiere in mid-2009, provides those who have ended treatment with an overview of the issues and concerns that are critical to healthy survivorship with a focus on the emotional and physical changes experienced by most patients when treatment ends.

Curetoday.com provides comprehensive access to information about cancer, including what you need to know at each stage of the cancer journey, treatment updates, breaking news, resources, and much more.

To celebrate nurses, CURE's Extraordinary Healer Award for Oncology Nursing asks readers to nominate a nurse who went above and beyond to help them heal. Three finalists are flown to the Oncology Nursing Society's annual meeting, where, before hundreds of nurses, the essays are read and the winner announced.

The best essays from our 2007 contest were compiled into a book, Extraordinary Healers: CURE Readers Honor Oncology Nurses, that introduces readers to these extraordinary men and women with provoking photography and moving essays.

CURE Media Group will continue to create products and events that help educate, empower, and connect individuals at every stage of the cancer journey.
