Partnership to Reduce Cancer in RI | Advocacy Groups

The Partnership to Reduce Cancer in Rhode Island is the state's comprehensive cancer control coalition, operating under the support of the Rhode Island Department of Health's Comprehensive Cancer Control Program. The Partnership is a passionate group of survivors, caregivers, health care providers, and advocates who are working together to reduce the burden of cancer in Rhode Island through development and implementation of the state cancer plan.

Their signature event is the Annual RI Cancer Summit, known for providing dynamic speakers on cutting edge topics of interest to survivors, caregivers and healthcare providers. Other projects include the annual Skin Check screening program, participation on an ovarian cancer task force under the funding of a CDC grant, operating work groups that address the areas of prevention, early detection, treatment and survivorship, and development of COVID-19 care kits for infusion centers around the state.
