Telling Your Children About Your Cancer Diagnosis
Kimberly Jewett, a 2-time breast cancer survivor and patient advocate, talks about what it was like having young children when diagnosed with breast cancer. Her 13-year-old daughter, Kalli, talks about what it was like to hear that her mother was sick. Kalli explains what it was like to go to school and try and live as a normal child while her mother was going through cancer treatment, discusses what it was like to go to the hospital with her mother and support her during chemotherapy, and shares her experiences when dealing with physicians.
