It's been 9 years since I finished chemo and radiation for metastatic breast cancer that reappeared in my chest wall. About three weeks ago, I noticed my left hand was swollen. The more I looked over my arm, I could see my entire arm is swollen. I had been helping a friend move heavy furniture in her store and this happened about two days after moving the furniture. After two weeks, I went to see my doctor and he ordered a scan for blood clots; none were found. I recently saw a pain management specialist who has ordered an MRI of my shoulder since I have had alot of shoulder problems over the years. Has anyone here ever heard of lymphedema appearing this long after cancer treatment? I am very concerned about this and after getting MRI results, if there are no problems found, I will see my oncologist or at least someone who can help me with this. Thank you. - See more at:
