I recently passed my 1 year anniversary for discovery of stage 1b estrogen/progesterone positive breast cancer in one breast with 2 positive lymph nodes. I'm trying to lose weight and have some additional suggestions. For exercise, try adding yoga. Yoga not only provides exercise, it also reduces stress. Stress makes me eat more. I suggest gentle yoga rather than the trendy stuff where you rush from one pose to another with a drill sergeant instructor.
This is very interesting to me. Although I haven't seen it written, I strongly suspect an even closer relationship between glucose and cancer. My sister had been diagnosed with diabetes (type II). The year before her colon cancer was found she noticed that her glucose was staying low even though she would often eat a large part of a cake and finish it the next day. She stopped her Metformin and had no increase in glucose despite eating things she knew had increased her glucose in the past. We both think the tumor (significant, requiring radiation, chemo, colostomy) had used some of the glucose to help it grow. Does anyone have information and/or references on this phenomenon? Thank you.
