I have follicular NHL. I too have heard that I have the "good" kind of cancer. Oh yeah, it's also incurable. But, hey! its "managable" and won't (probably) kill me. Unless it transforms into an aggressive form and I don't catch it early enough to start aggressive treatment. I've heard this from so many Dr.s... including my original PCP who gave the the news. My oncologist said I would probably die WITH my cancer and not FROM it, and I'm holding that hope. I've been on watch and wait (also known as watch and worry) since diagnosis. I'm one of the lucky ones who has no symptoms, and I sure hope to stay on watch and wait as long as I can! I know my treatment options, I keep up on research (there are a LOT of new treatment options for my cancer, which is great!) and just, well, hope.
