I will be 11 years battling this disease that does not belong to me. Still taking chemo and finished radiations last month. Landed in the hospital for the first time since diagnosis in September 2004 ~ neutropenia and radiation enteritis. I advanced to mestastic breast cancer in March 2010 and to the liver in November 2010. I am sure it was in the bone a good year before getting a good biopsy. So loved this article and analogy from Michal J. Fox and waiting on the bus to hit you or miss you ~~~I just tell everyone I am a chronic cancer patient and no different than a person with heart disease or a diabetic!
