Great check list for my use as I tend to stay quite plus my oncologist is hard to get info out of at times. My wife says it's a man thing to remain humble and quite. Not sure if that's a compliment or a complaint by her. Hey anyway , thanks for the list. As always : "it is what it is." View Original Post
God sent his Son into the world because terrible accidents or diseases have and will always be part of our struggle. It's the old "bad things happen to good people" rule.
When the hospital social worker came into my room to prep me for whatever , she seemed relieved when I told her I had already made an arrangement ..... with God. I told her how at first my mind was stuck on "why me" and now I'm at "why not me if it would mean that no other of my family members would ever have to endure this disease".

Trumpcare or maybe Not 4 U Care or We Really Don't Care or Tea Party Care or If You Have to Ask,It's Not For You Care
Just trying to help them out for the next attempt at repeal and replace. The Republicans use the term "Obamacare" as if was something the Russians invented. Maybe they should ask those impacted for input first. I'm sure it's difficult for someone with full free coverage to guess what our needs are based on the input from insurance company lobbyists.
As if cancer and chemo weren't enough.
OK so you think that if you're covered under the ACA that your insurance carrier can't drop you for 2017....WRONG. Here in good old Ohio, Medical Mutual of "Ohio" is cutting me out for 2017 due to "fiscal reasons". When I called their agent , she said I'm being dumped because I live in the wrong county (wayne). I told her that I didn't believe what she had been directed to tell me by MM's battalion of lawyers was the truth. The reason is because I have cancer (NHL) and need the insurance. I filed a complaint with the Ohio Insurance Commissioner , that got me nowhere as I was told that they can't make a company offer ...
The insurance industry owns one of the most powerful group of lobbyists in the USA. Money is no obstacle when it comes to supporting their lobbyists or saturation advertising. They live by a special Golden Rule : "They who have the most gold get to make all the rules".
I don't like to tell people what type of cancer I have or for how long and what chemo treatments I've endured because it usually turns out that it somehow becomes a weird competition and I end up walking away saying "Ok,you win". I wasn't short with others in conversations before chemo brain or chemo temperament (better description my experience). I did ,however, try to think of others needs before my own and try to serve ahead of being served. The Dr.s would rather blame forgetfulness and loss of recall on my age vs. the harsh chemicals that the nurses wear plastic shielding from head to toe as they administer thru my port. That said , I've turned to treating myself to pleasant memories ...
