Western medicine is ever so slowly accepting that there are benefits to yoga for cancer survivors and those going through treatment. NOW is the time for the government and medical institutions to get serious about pursuing in depth and long term studies to fully document those benefits and integrate them into the treatment model for cancer. Western medicine needs to understand and accept yoga and its benefits- drugs are not the only way to treat cancer!
I'm here in freezing New Jersey and my morning yoga helped balance me, even in the cold basement . We're having some good conversations about lifestyle choices. Since I have my own challenges, I can talk honestly about the challenges of maintaining good habits. How about you? How do you keep motivated? How do you regain your motivation?
I'm Chris. Jean's husband. Jean is unique and creative and reaches out to others. I'm proud of her work. I'm glad she's still here. This week it
will be 12 years since her diagnosis. I didn't think Jean had cancer. She seemed to know that she did. She works hard to get people to be screened.
She's also glad to have a voice in CUREtoday.
