Even though I have metastatic lung cancer, your words ring true for me and any cancer survivor, no matter the type of cancer. I just organized a team of walkers at a Lungevity event last weekend and I raised a fair amount of money for research and had incredible supporters walking with me. People who cheer me on everyday and care enough to donate time and money. Raising money is one of the tangible ways we survivors can hope to make a difference in helping ourselves and those diagnosed in the future. Hopefully, people will continue to participate and donate. Thanks.
Thank you for the reminder. I am recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and for the past two months, have not been able to see any good in any thing. These past two days have been better and even good days for me. I am in early treatment so I don't have the ravages on my body that I may someday have. So, I tell myself to enjoy these fleeting moments like lunch with my teenage son, driving my other son to work and singing the words to a song together. Things like that. I have had some dark days already. I am scared of what is to become of me. But the sun is shining today and the sky is my favorite blue.
