CURE's patient focused sessions at Miami Breast consists of a full-day event hosted in tandem with the Miami Breast Cancer Conference® that seeks to educate, inform and challenge the thinking of worldwide breast cancer patients. The program is designed to draw a crowd that represents all stages and demographics of breast cancer patients, as well as their caregivers and advocates.

Join us as we, a community of patients, advocates, nurses, and survivors:

  • Review Clinical data to understand what it means for us as patients, caregivers, and advocates.
  • Examine financial options available for those undergoing treatment or recovering from treatment.
  • Analyze what survivorship is really about.
  • Assess current clinical trial options available.

Laughter Yoga Details

Laughter Yoga is based on the practice of utilizing the breath for our health and well-being. It's a group exercise where we laugh together intentionally while creating fun, visual scenarios and physical movement. We initiate laughter as an exercise in the group, but with eye contact and childlike playfulness, which soon turns into real and contagious laughter. The session will conclude with a relaxing guided imagery meditation. A great way to start your day!

“Uniting people the world over in remarkable, spontaneous and hilarious sessions of healing and health.”

Male Breast Cancer survivor Khevin Barnes has been practicing and teaching Laughter Yoga for 10 years. Trained by Dr. Madan Kataria of India (the founder of the Laughter Yoga Movement) he is delighted to introduce convention attendees to this fun and relaxing form of exercise.

Partners & Supporters

The Lep Foundation and CURE® work in collaboration to support young adults affected by cancer who have shown the courage and determination to finish their college education despite their setbacks. This scholarship will help to deter the costs of college for these individuals, who may not have the resources because of overwhelming medical costs. The scholarship is designated for students who were diagnosed with cancer and whose disease and related treatments have placed a significant financial burden on them and their families.
