Singer and actress Olivia Newton-John is auctioning off her costumes from the movie “Grease,” along with other clothing and household items, to benefit her cancer hospital in Melbourne, Australia.

A portion of the proceeds will go to the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre, which conducts research and provides cancer treatment, including “wellness programs to support patients in body, mind and spirit,” according to the hospital’s website. The auction is set for Nov. 2 in Beverly Hills, California, and online. The collection was exhibited at the Museum of Style Icons in Ireland July 22 and 23.

Newton-John, 71, received a diagnosis of breast cancer in 1992 and has had two recurrences. The most recent was in 2018, when she learned the cancer had not only returned but also spread.

According to the Julien’s Auctions website, items she is selling will include her black leather jacket and tight black pants from the 1978 film classic, as well as her script from the film, the dress she wore to its premiere, and a gown and catsuit she wore at the Academy Awards ceremony that year. Also for sale: costumes from the film “Xanadu,” two wardrobe pieces from the music video for the song “Physical” and other items, such as accessories.

“I don’t feel I’m parting with them,” Newton-John told Page Six Style about her “Grease” outfits. “I have a photograph of them, which is probably better than having it in the closet, and I feel like I’ve had my time with them. I’m happy that it’s going to go to people that will enjoy it.”
