One Week To Go

December 31, 2015

We've been following the training plan to the letter for the last two months. We may have even overdone it for the last 5:30 hike with its 3,100-foot elevation, but it doesn't matter. What matters? That we had some amazing family times, giggling in the rain, sharing hot chocolates by the fireplace after a long and challenging hike, marveling at condors and newts. For those amazing moments, we are so grateful to have decided to join this adventure.

The Grand Canyon hike will really be the completion of a goal we set together at the end of last year. It didn't take us long to decide that we wanted to join the MM4MM team and complete this challenge. Together. And we know our stuff when it comes to challenges, believe me.

This journey to the Grand Canyon, we've decided to live it together, as a family. It's our way to show that nothing is impossible, that multiple myeloma is not going to stop us. Challenging ourselves is also our way to give back to the amazing MMRF community.

Grand Canyon, here we come!
