Fire and Ice Iceland Trek

See it. Believe it. Do it.

July 30, 2018

If you can visualize it, you can do it.

Conversely, if you permit doubt to be part of your thoughts, then you will surely fail.

I cannot visualize multiple myeloma beating me. Not on the day I was diagnosed and certainly not now.

It doesn’t matter that my blood work is getting worse each month. I visualize remaining strong and I will stay in the PRESENT.

I do not let my thoughts go to the PAST, when I was initially diagnosed and confused, and I will not let negative thoughts transport me into a FUTURE that I will not accept.
I am enjoying the PRESENT.

It may sound odd, but I feel that I am fortunate to be a multiple myeloma patient!

Multiple myeloma has changed the direction of my life. I’ve often been concerned that I would go through my years here on Earth and not make a difference.

That changed when my wife Kim introduced me to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) and I became a team member of Moving Mountains for Multiple Myeloma. Hundreds of my friends and family are now aware of multiple myeloma and the efforts by the MMRF and companies such as Celgene to find a CURE.

I know that participating in the 2018 Iceland Trek has provided me with an opportunity to help future multiple myeloma patients.

Together we will find a cure to move the mountains that stand in the way of multiple myeloma patients.
