A new app aims to alleviate the can­cer-related fatigue that plagues many patients and survivors and improve their quality of life.
Untire provides infor­mation on what causes fatigue, educational vid­eos and tutorials, weekly reports to measure prog­ress and access to a private online community of peers. The daily program consists of a tip and three sections: My themes includes topics like fear, worry, anxiety and sleep; My Exercises suggests stress-reducing mind-body activities such as breathing techniques; and My Physical Activity offers energy-boosting exercises.
Developed by psycholo­gists, patients and research­ers, the free app can be used by patients and survivors of any cancer type or stage.
