Like many other cancer types, patients may feel anxiety and fear that the disease could return. This can occur during follow-up appointments, symptoms unrelated to the cancer occur, or even during cancerversaries.

In turn, maintaining physical, emotional and mental health is key. Navigating this new normal can be difficult, but there are a variety of resources available for patients and their loved ones. Moreover, connecting with others who have been diagnosed with a leukemia, or caregivers of those affected by the disease, may offer a sense of understanding and belonging, as no one is alone in this journey.
