Barely Hanging On
By Joyce Wigler
September 22nd, 2021
I painted this watercolor painting while attending an art therapy class at Ann's Place (a nonprofit serving clients who are facing cancer). I was undergoing chemotherapy for triple negative breast cancer and saw myself in that tiny boat floating precariously in a huge ocean. I felt powerless against my cancer. This artwork was originally submitted for the CURE® 2021 Healing Through Hues Calendar Contest.
