Girl When She Was Bald
By Heidi Stark
September 24th, 2021
This is a self-portrait from when I had cancer. I had gone through radiation therapy and was just getting the courage to reveal my bare head. My hair was just starting to grow back, having endured the treatment process. The artwork is a pencil drawing that is digitally edited. This artwork was originally submitted for the CURE® 2021 Healing Through Hues Calendar Contest.
