Blue Sky High

Article

A survivor with a nearly 10-year journey with lung cancer and ongoing treatment writes a poem about the emotional ups and downs of living with cancer.

It’s been raining here for some time

Can’t stop gazing at the hopeful sky

Stand in fear and losing hope

Open up

Let out a hopeful cry

The blue sky high

No fear

The only thing I know how to do is breath

Be still now

Feels like I’m falling out of the sky

Diving into the blue sky high

The blue sky high

Day is dawning and I’m still here

Lift up hopeful cries in morning glow

Looking up peaceful flight

Open up to inner light and the blue sky high
