Cancer Survivors, Patients Share Their Favorite Motivational or Inspirational Quote

Author(s):

On social media, CURE® recently asked its readers to share their favorite motivational or inspirational quotes. Here's what they had to share.

Each week on FacebookTwitter and Instagram, CURE® asks its readers to share their thoughts with a #CureConnect discussion question.

This past week, we asked: “What is your favorite motivational or inspirational quote?”

Here’s what some of our readers shared:

  • Eleanor Roosevelt’s, “You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.’” – M.F.
  • “Fate whispers to the warrior, 'You cannot withstand the storm.’ The warrior whispers back, ‘I am the storm,’” by author Jake Remington. This got me through many appointments, scans, treatments and on low days. – D.H.
  • When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on. – D.B.
  • “Do not pray for an easy life; pray for the strength to endure a difficult one,” by Bruce Lee. – D.J.L-B.
  • There is no place like hope. – L.M.
  • We learn the greatest lessons in life at the deepest and darkest of times. – M.N.
