The Advocacy Partnership Program continues to support and empower patients, families and their caregivers.
PLAINSBORO, NJ (PRWEB) DECEMBER 20, 2016
Cure Media Group, the nation’s leading digital and print media enterprise focused on cancer patients, cancer centers and advocacy groups, has partnered with the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation (NPCF), announced Cure Media Group President Michael J. Hennessy, Jr.
In making the announcement, Michael J. Hennessy, Jr. said, “We are thrilled to partner with such a worthwhile organization in order to eradicate childhood cancer.”
National Pediatric Cancer Foundation was formed by Melissa Helms and Risa Tramel, two mothers who met while their daughters were going through cancer treatments. Since its inception, the NPCF has donated more than six million dollars to children’s cancer research, and developed The Sunshine Project, which connects the nation’s leading child cancer doctors and researchers to streamline new treatments in order to increase the survival rate of children with cancer.
Per the NPCF, childhood cancer continues to be the leading disease in the death of children, with 43 children a day and over an estimated 15,000 children, annually, diagnosed with the disease. Since 1980, fewer than ten drugs have been approved for use in the fight against childhood cancer, furthering the dire need for funding advanced research.
