Diagnosed With Liver Cancer? See a Specialist

A liver cancer specialist can be very beneficial for those diagnosed.

It is important that patients with liver cancer see a doctor who specializes in the disease, according to Andrea J. Wilson, founder and president of Blue Faery: The Adrienne Wilson Liver Cancer Foundation.

General oncologists see many different cancers in their practice, and few, if any, may be liver cancers. Specialists may be better equipped to track changes in the liver cancer space, as well as new therapies that may be coming down the pipeline and clinical trials.
