Women with ovarian cancer tend to be younger when diagnosed, and may have partners and families. An ovarian cancer diagnosis can turn a woman's life upside-down, as she suddenly may deal with menopause and fertility issues, as well as fatigue, insomnia, anxiety and depression. However, Hlubocky emphasizes that no woman should go through this alone, and it is important to seek out psychosocial help.
