An Oncology Nurse With a ‘Caring, Loving, Healing Attitude’
From blankets to coupons, one oncology nurse makes sure that her patient has what they need before, during and after cancer treatment.
Hanh Miller, RN, became one of my main chemotherapy nurses. Hanh is a sweet, kind, delightful, young nurse. First, she would make sure I was warm and comfortable before we started with a heated blanket, drink and/or snack. She would continue throughout treatment, making sure if I needed anything to ensure my comfort. She went above and beyond to make sure I had the liquids I needed. She even had an oncologist stop by to see me, which the discussion resulted in the doctor adding more to my IV. I never would have known about this without her caring, loving, healing attitude. She would make sure I left with coupons for Ensure. When I was worried about my hair, she assured me that I would be able to get one free wig. What a nice relief. Hanh cares.
