
Kathy’s Cake Dome

While undergoing chemo for breast cancer, I turned to painting glass as a way to relax and take my mind off of treatments. I had stopped glass painting previously due to burnout, but found it enjoyable and addictive during cancer treatments. Starting with wine glasses, my first designs were loose and playful. They grew more detailed as time passed, leading to the creation of this cake dome for my sister’s birthday.
