> Medicare Rights Center. To help evaluate the best Medicare health plans and Part D plans, the Medicare Rights Center has a no-cost interactive online tool available to consumers at www.medicarerights.org/help.html. MRC also has a consumer hotline at (800) 333-4114.

> The State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP). This national program offers one-on-one counseling and assistance to people with Medicare and their families. To find your state’s consumer hotline, go to www.shiptalk.org or call Medicare at (800) 633-4227 and ask for insurance counseling.

> Medicare. The government agency overseeing Medicare offers comparative online tools for the health plans, drug plans and Medigap plans offered in your state at www.Medicare.gov.
