LiveLung invites the Charlotte lung cancer community to its monthly educational meeting.

LiveLung, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting lung cancer patients, survivors, and their care partners, invites the Charlotte lung cancer community to its monthly educational meeting on Tuesday, November 10, at 11:30 a.m. The meeting, which includes a complimentary lunch, will take place at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1000 East Morehead Street, Fellowship Hall, Room 205, Charlotte, NC 28204.

This month’s featured speaker is Mike Bass, PT, DPT,CLT, MA, Oncologic Physical Therapist Resident at Levine Cancer Institute, who will present “Benefits of Physical Therapy and Rehab Lung Cancer Survivors.”

Bass is an Greensboro native and two-time Tar Heel, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science and a master’s in Exercise Physiology, where he developed a special interest in exercise oncology. Mike earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Winston-Salem State University and is passionate about oncology rehabilitation—helping individuals regain strength, confidence, and the ability to return to the activities they love.

“No matter the stage, the treatment involved, nor the demographic, tailored physical activity and supervised rehabilitation with a rehab specialist in cancer has been shown to have positive impacts on physical and mental performance and overall quality of life,” says Bass.

LiveLung’s educational meetings provide valuable resources and opportunities for lung cancer patients, survivors, and their care partners to learn, network, and build community. Each meeting features an expert guest speaker who shares insights to empower attendees with knowledge and support.
