LiveLung, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting lung cancer patients, survivors, and their care partners, invites the Charlotte lung cancer community to its monthly educational meeting on Tuesday, October 14, at 11:30 a.m. The meeting, which includes a complimentary lunch, will take place at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1000 East Morehead Street, Fellowship Hall, Room 205, Charlotte, NC 28204.

This month’s featured speaker is Lawrence Aung, MD, Faculty Physician and Researcher at Levine Cancer Institute, who will present “Exploring Current Evidence on Nutrition and Lung Cancer.”

Dr. Aung is board certified in internal medicine and specializes in supportive oncology, focusing on symptom management for advanced-stage cancers and supportive care for patients with cancer. He is actively involved in research on cancer cachexia and cancer-related malnutrition, translating findings into practical guidance to help patients and care partners navigate nutritional challenges associated with lung cancer.
