WILMINGTON, NC- (February 26, 2025) LiveLung, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting lung cancer patients, survivors, and their care partners, invites the Wilmington community to its monthly educational meeting on Thursday, March 5, at 12:30 p.m. The meeting, which includes a complimentary lunch, will take place at Hampton Inn Wilmington- Medical Park, 2320 S 17th Street, Wilmington, NC 28401.

This month’s featured presentation, “Nutrition Considerations in CardioOncology,” will be led by Susan Sullivan, RD,LDN,CNSC, Certified Nutrition Support Clinician at Susan Sullivan Nutrition. Sullivan will provide practical tips and evidence-based strategies to help patients navigate the unique nutritional challenges that arise with a cancer diagnosis.

A Certified Nutrition Support Clinician through the National Board of Nutrition Support Certification and licensed by the North Carolina Board of Dietetics, Sullivan provides detailed, patient-specific nutrition assessments and education designed to improve clinical outcomes. She specializes in targeted nutrition strategies to help patients manage symptoms and support recovery before, during, and after cancer treatment — equipping patients and caregivers with practical tools to optimize nutritional status and treatment response.

Skilled in conducting comprehensive nutrition assessments using validated tools, Sullivan identifies malnutrition risk, treatment side effects, and metabolic needs in patients undergoing cancer care. She works collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to support the management of patient health and nutrition-related factors.
