As a three-time breast cancer survivor, I have had a lot of experience coping with bad news and challenging situations. Picking up a pen or brush and creating artwork has helped me concentrate on something beautiful, dispel negative thoughts, and regain a sense of peace. Gazing at a scene like this is a form of therapy which I have found to be very effective long after the creative process has ended.
