One Wave or Another

I painted this one afternoon after returning from the beach. It had been a lovely summer day. The sun was shining and glinting off the water. It was perfect! I didn't want to leave, but as I sat and said my goodbyes to the ocean, I watched one wave after another rolling in. They seemed to say nothing here is stagnant, everything keeps moving and rolling along. As I left, I adopted that little mantra - to keep on living and staying well, I needed to keep moving, even if it felt repetitive at times.
