
A Yellow-Filled Sunny Day

I did this oils on panel painting to remind myself to breathe. For me, it feels like with every hurdle that comes up, I have a little less physical and mental reserves to jump it. When not-great things happen without much time in between to turn the world back right side up, I'm not sure exactly how to weather that. This cancer thing definitely isn't easy. But then I remember there's always yellow -- and my heart has to smile.
