A groundbreaking new open-access textbook, “Lung Cancer Navigation and Care: A Comprehensive Guide for Navigators and Allied Health Professionals,” is now available. As the first site-specific, comprehensive clinical guide for lung cancer navigation, the textbook equips navigators and allied health professionals with foundational knowledge, evidence-based practices, and practical tools to elevate the quality of lung cancer care and improve outcomes for people at risk for or living with the disease.

As the nation recognizes May as Women’s Health Month, GO2 for Lung Cancer (GO2) is proud to celebrate a milestone: the Women and Lung Cancer Research and Preventive Services Act of 2025 (H.R. 2319) has successfully advanced through the House Energy and Commerce Committee and is now heading to the Senate.

GO2 for Lung Cancer (GO2) announced it established the Global Advisory Council (GAC), a new group that brings together scientists, medical specialists, and other healthcare professionals from diverse disciplines who focus on GO2’s areas of impact: healthcare delivery, patient education, policy, and research. The GAC provides recommendations to guide GO2’s program and project development.

GO2 for Lung Cancer (GO2) recognized lung cancer champions at its 19th Annual Simply the Best Gala in San Francisco on Nov. 2. This event celebrated organizations and individuals across the lung cancer community, including industry partners, survivors, caregivers, and donors.

GO2 for Lung Cancer presented Pasi A. Jӓnne, M.D, Ph.D. with the 2024 Bonnie J. Addario Lectureship Award for his commitment and dedication to research and development of therapeutic strategies for patients with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutant lung cancer.

Patients with lung cancer are encouraged to participate in the new modules that will capture data to help gain insights into their treatment path and treatment options.
