This month’s meeting will feature Jennifer Werley, Healthy Living Director at the Sampson Family YMCA, presenting “Stronger Together: Movement and Community in Cancer Survivorship.” During this session, Werley will highlight how structured physical activity and wellness programs can support cancer survivors in regaining strength, improving functional capacity, and enhancing overall quality of life.
Werley serves as the Healthy Living Director at the Sampson Family YMCA, where she leads programs focused on fitness, wellness, and member support. She is passionate about helping adult cancer survivors regain strength, improve functional capacity, and enhance quality of life through evidence-based fitness initiatives, including the LIVESTRONG? at the YMCA program. “The mission of the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program is to empower adult cancer survivors to improve functional capacity and to increase their quality of life through an organized program of fitness and strength,” said Werley.
