PITTSBURGH, PA (May 5, 2026) – LiveLung, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting lung cancer patients, survivors, and their care partners, invites the Pittsburgh community to its monthly educational meeting on Thursday, May 14, at 11:30 a.m. The meeting, which includes a complimentary lunch and parking, will take place at Hyatt House Pittsburgh/ Bloomfield/ Shadyside, 5335 Baum Boulevard, Pittsburgh, PA 15224.

This month’s meeting will feature Lisa Levinson, AmSAT (American Society for the Alexander Technique), presenting “Finding Ease: The Alexander Technique and the Art of Breathing.” The presentation will explore practical ways to reduce tension and support calmer, easier breathing—skills that can be especially helpful for people living with lung cancer.

Lisa Levinson is an AmSAT-certified teacher of the Alexander Technique and maintains a private practice in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, working with a wide range of students including musicians, performers, and people managing pain or stress. She has a special interest in the relationship between breath, movement, and sound.

“People who are living with illness or who are under constant stress often have a difficult time finding ways to calm themselves, let alone think that calm is possible. The Alexander Technique offers a way for people to feel more in control and bring about a greater sense of ease” Levinson notes “Together, these practices can provide an overall sense of ease, relaxation, and calmness.”

LiveLung’s educational meetings provide valuable resources and opportunities for lung cancer patients, survivors, and their care partners to learn, network, and build community. Each meeting features an expert guest speaker who shares insights to empower attendees with knowledge and support.
