After being diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2013, Bill Wimbiscus knows first-hand that navigating the cancer space is not always easy.
At the 2018 National Community Oncology Dispensing (NCODA) Fall Summit, Wimbiscus told his story of going through myeloma without insurance coverage. Applying for financial assistance used to be a long, drawn out process, he explained. But then he found an organization that has a much more streamlined process. His advice to other newly diagnosed patients: first, stay calm. Then, find an organization that can help.
