FORT MYERS, FL (June 9, 2026)- LiveLung, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting lung cancer patients, survivors, and their care partners, invites the Fort Myers lung cancer community to its monthly educational meeting on Tuesday, June 16 at 11:30 a.m. The meeting will be held at Hyatt Place Fort Myers at the Forum, 2600 Champion Ring Rd, Fort Myers, and includes a complimentary lunch.
In this month’s featured presentation, “A Mindful Journey,” Megan Cobb, MA, will explore how mindfulness practices can support emotional healing, resilience, stress management, and self-compassion throughout the cancer journey and beyond.
“The practice of mindfulness encourages us to be curious about and accepting of our thoughts and feelings in a nonjudgmental way and can help us learn to be more compassionate towards ourselves as well as others on our journey through life,” said Cobb.
Cobb holds a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling Psychology with a focus on trauma and post-traumatic growth. Through her work with Lee Health, Cobb supports mental health awareness and the wellbeing of both patients and healthcare professionals through holistic wellness education, peer support, and crisis intervention services. She is dedicated to fostering compassionate, supportive environments that prioritize emotional wellness alongside physical health.
