Join LiveLung's August 11 Charlotte meeting to learn how acupuncture may help ease lung cancer treatment side effects and improve quality of life.

LiveLung, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting lung cancer patients, survivors, and their care partners, invites the Charlotte lung cancer community to its monthly educational meeting on August 11th at 11:30 a.m. The meeting, which includes a complimentary lunch, will take place at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1000 East Morehead Street, Fellowship Hall, Room 205, Charlotte, NC 28204.

This month’s presentation, “Acupuncture: An Integrative Approach for Lung Cancer,” will be led by Annie Budhathoki, DAOM, L.Ac. During this informative session, Budhathoki will share how acupuncture is helping lung cancer patients improve their quality of life.

“In my integrative oncology practice, I’ve seen how acupuncture can play a meaningful role in reducing pain, easing neuropathy, and improving the quality of life for people recovering form lung cancer treatment. My commitment is to provide evidence-informed, compassionate care that helps you move forward with resilience and hope.”

Annie Budhathoki, DAOM, L.Ac.,is a doctor of acupuncture and East Asian medicine and has been a board-certified licensed acupuncturist and integrative clinician since 2009. Budhathoki’s practice focuses on treating pain, neuropathy, and the side effects of chronic illness. In 2022, she brought over a decade of experience with her when she joined the integrative medical team at Novant Health Cancer Institute. Her treatments include lifestyle support aimed at improving health, wellness and longevity.

LiveLung’s educational meetings provide valuable resources and opportunities for lung cancer patients, survivors, and their care partners to learn, network, and build community. Each meeting features an expert guest speaker who shares insights to empower attendees with knowledge and support.
