LiveLung, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting lung cancer patients, survivors, and their care partners, invites the community to its monthly small cell lung cancer (SCLC) virtual educational meeting on Wednesday, July 15, at 7:00 p.m. EST via Zoom.
This month’s presentation, “Advancing SCLC Care: New Data, New Discoveries, New Hope,” will be led by Asrar Alahmadi, MBBS, MS, thoracic medical oncologist and Assistant Professor in the Division of Medical Oncology at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.
Asrar Alahmadi, MBBS, MS
Dr. Alahmadi earned her medical degree from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, completed her hematology and oncology fellowship at Case Western Reserve University, and has advanced training in clinical research. She specializes in the treatment of thoracic malignancies, including small cell lung cancer (SCLC), non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), thymoma, and mesothelioma. In addition to providing patient care, she leads and collaborates on clinical and translational research focused on improving outcomes for patients with lung cancer through novel therapies, immunotherapy, and innovative clinical trials. Dr. Alahmadi is passionate about advancing thoracic oncology and bringing the latest scientific discoveries to patients through cutting-edge research and personalized care.
