Siddhartha Mukherjee on Increasing MPN Awareness

Siddhartha Mukherjee, M.D., Ph.D, an oncologist, researcher and Pulitzer Prize-winning science writer, discusses the increasing awareness about myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs).

For a long time, MPNs were quite "mysterious," Mukherjee said, noting that physicians had a difficult time diagnosing and characterizing them. But thanks to increasing awareness about MPN genetics, as well as the condition itself, physicians and patients have a better understanding on how to handle MPNs.
