Michelle Esser Discusses Two Encouraging Breast Cancer Studies

Michelle Esser, program manager for research and advocacy, Young Survival Coalition, discusses two encouraging studies presented during the 2015 annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), a Chicago gathering of nearly 30,000 oncology professionals in May and June.

Esser was particularly encouraged by discussions surrounding ovarian suppression, surgery and bisphosphonate use in premenopausal women with breast cancer. Esser also mentions a study conducted by Hatem Abdel Azim that looked at genetic differences in breast cancer of young and older women.
