Michelle Gervino, an oncology nurse with John Theurer Cancer Center, advises patients to communicate with their medical team about any side effects they may be experiencing.
"You don't want to let any symptom go unchecked. That's why we're here," she says. "As patients, treatments will be better and it will be more manageable" if symptoms are caught early and the medical team has time to alleviate effects, including nausea.
