After getting over the shock of being diagnosed with a rare cancer, I could only think about returning to my “normal” self, but I later discovered that the normal I was trying to return to would change.

Healing should be the primary focus of patients and survivors. But for many, the effects of high medical costs can become a burdensome challenge. Care providers, experts and family work to provide assistance.
