Advocacy Chats - Insightful Conversations on Policy Issues & Cancer Research

National Organization for Rare Disorders - A cancer diagnosis can be devastating, and patients diagnosed with rare cancers face added uncertainty. Coping with a rare disease can be scary, but there are organizations that can help. On July 13, Rose Gerber, director of patient advocacy & education at COA, and Jill Polander, RN, MSN, vice president of patient services at the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD), discussed NORD’s research into lesser known and new diseases, including cancer, and work to support patients navigating rare diagnoses.
